GENERAL TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF BOOKING
The following terms and conditions form part of the agreement between the company and hirer.
- Hirer to Acquaint Himself
It is the responsibility of the hirer to acquaint himself and all members of the party with these conditions. The hirer shall be responsible for the conduct of the members of the party during the currency of the charter.
- Booking Conditions
- A provisional booking will be held for up to 7 days and will only be confirmed upon receipt of a 50% deposit. Due to exchange rate fluctuations, the deposit is due within 48 hours after receipt of invoice. If the deposit is not received within this period the booking may be cancelled by the Company and/or re-invoiced at applicable rate of exchange.
- The balance of the total amount is due 45 days prior to the date of departure. Should payment not be made by this time the Company reserves the right to cancel the booking and the hirers’ deposit will be forfeited.
- The following charges shall apply with regard to cancellations by the hirer: -
- On notice of cancellation 3 months prior to boarding – loss of 35% deposit paid.
- One month prior to boarding – loss of full charter fee – no refund offered regardless of reason for cancellation
There are no refunds whatsoever offered over Peak Season dates such as Public Holidays, Easter, Christmas and New Year regardless of reason for cancellation.
- If the charter is cancelled due to political circumstances beyond the control of the Company or the Hirer, or medical circumstance by the hirer, then the hirer is offered a 12 month window in which to rebook his dates.
- Price Increases
The Company reserves the right to amend the price of the charter and/or charge a surcharge on top of rates quoted and/or monies already received due to any increases in cost including Statutory increases.
- Indemnity
The hirer and all members of the party hereby indemnify the company against and waives all and any claims that may arise in respect of death, injury, loss of or damage to property arising from or in connection with any act or omission occurring during the currency of the charter of the vessel or in connection with any activities or events which are related to the charter whether or not such act or omission was caused by the negligence of the company.
The hirer and all members of the party are deemed to be aware of and accept the risk of the activities and events of the charter including inter alia contact with wildlife, fishing, boating and swimming.
- Damage
The hirer agrees to pay to the company the reasonable cost of repair or replacement of any property of the company its employees, servants, agents, sub-contractors or Third Party which is lost or damaged as a result of any negligent act or omission on the part of the hirer and/or any member of the party during the currency of the charter.
- Mechanical Failure
The company will make every effort to ensure that all engines, motors, pumps, refrigerators and other similar facilities are maintained in good working order but accepts no responsibility for the failure nor for any loss and/or expense arising from such failure. This responsibility will fall solely on the shoulders of the Houseboat Owner and/or their Manager/s.
- Force Majure, Act of God etc.
The company accepts no liability for any loss and/or damage that may arise or be suffered by the hirer and/or the party as a result of force majure, Act of God, inclement weather or Statutory intervention during the currency of the charter.
- Personal Insurance
The hirer warrants to the company that he and all other members of the party have full and proper insurance against all risks of death, injury, loss or damage that may arise in connection with and during the course of the charter.
- Conditions of Hire of Vessel
Any additional conditions of hire and cancellation policies that may exist in relation to the charter of the vessel shall apply equally to these general terms and conditions. The hirer and all members of the party shall at all times during the currency of the charter comply with the instructions of the captain of the vessel and the representatives of the company.

CANCELLATION FEES: Please take note of the following cancellation fees. If you proceed to make payment for your booking, it is on the understanding and acceptance of these cancellation terms and those on our Booking Form attached hereto with the Invoice:-
